Yesterday Was Magical

For the first time in what seemed like years, children were outside at The Farm, without coats, running and having fun.  The sound of their laughter, and squeals of delight, was music to our ears.

On the same day, as if a Giant Magician had waved their magic wand, little green buds appeared on the deciduous trees and shrubs.  Color appeared where, for many months, there had been none.

Plans were made for the planting of seeds next week.  The puddles in the field slowly retreated.  The grasses appeared to grow right before our eyes.  The farm animals walked a little quicker, as if energized by that giant orb in the sky.  It was as thought the director of our farm school production pushed the “play” button, and everything came to life.

Yesterday was magical, for children and adults.
