Start the day off feeding the animals.  Then a nature-based lesson outside.  Splash in the remaining puddles. Discover green buds sprouting on tree limbs.  Try to spot the tree frogs as they croak a morning song.

Talk to a chicken.  Pet a chicken.  Look in awe at Petey the Peacock dressed in regal splendor.

Oh all right, head inside for a classroom lesson, but not to worry, recess will soon begin, the favorite time of the day at traditional schools but at Sequoia’s, just one of many activities designed to stimulate the sense and activate the mind, curiosity kicking into overdrive now, the way it’s supposed to be for young children, no stifling here, never, ain’t going to let it happen, not on The Farm.

Spring means planting, and that’s just one more learning opportunity for the youngsters, followed by a nap, a little quiet time to recharge the engines, maybe another indoor activity, a snack, somewhere in there they ate lunch, and the only discouraging look to be seen is on several faces when it is time to go home at the end of the day.

Are we making this up?  You know we aren’t if you have a child attending Sequoia’s. In fact, we probably downplayed it just a bit.

After all, there is no boredom allowed at a nature-based school like Sequoia’s Treehouse.
