Reasons Why Kids Typically Do Not Like School

We get this question all the time about our farm and forest school: What about the weather? What do you do when it’s raining or snowing?
Our school is outdoors, rain, shine, cloudy, and snow! We get muddy and we get cold, wet, hot, dry, but mostly we are just fine! We utilize the Farm for most of our programming.
During the worst of times, we have the indoor Nature room, as well as covered areas outside, but the general answer to this question is yes, we are outside most times of most days, and we make it work, the kids love it, and learning happens no matter what the weather is like.
We have found that children acclimate quickly. Besides, what could be better, for a child, than being allowed to play in the mud or the snow? 😊
