September 5, 2024We are rapidly approaching the official start of Fall. Fortunately, the weather is fabulous, meaning many opportunities await parents looking for Fall activities with their young children.
In an earlier post we shared some activities with you; today we will add to that list.
- Have a family game night. So many fun fall things can happen right at your house.
- Make cinnamon-scented Play-Doh – another great idea for the little ones!
- Make your own scarecrow. You can take it a step further and create a haunted house!
- Make homemade chili. A great way to warm the insides.
- Complete a puzzle as a family. This can be an ongoing activity that can last all season.
- Tailgate on a Saturday. Who says you must pack up the BBQ when summer ends?
- Drink pumpkin spice lattes (hot chocolate for the littles).
- Eat candy corn. Never too old for candy corn.
- Decorate the house for fall together & make our own decorations – create a special space for the kids to decorate.
- Go on a fall scavenger hunt!
- Read stories by a fire. You don’t even need to have a fireplace – find the coziest space and read together.
- Create leaf arts-and-crafts projects. That’s another way to give your nature walks a little purpose – collect leaves!
