Just curious, but do you have a favorite Christmas tradition in your families?
We happen to believe that forming family traditions is important.
Parenting Magazine gives us this list of reasons why traditions are important:
- Form a family’s culture and provide a sense of belonging, security, and connection.
- Teach shared values and create fond memories that bond the whole family.
- Foster positive experiences and memories, nurturing family connections.
- Create a sense of comfort, security, and belonging.
- Provide a chance for face-to-face interaction and help family members get to know and trust each other more intimately.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t let a Christmas go by without watching “It’s A Wonderful Life.” That movie brings out the tears each and every year. And our family is big on White Elephant gifts, a fun tradition which always makes us laugh.
