Sequoia’s Farm and Forest School

 

Children will learn how to care for animals, plants, and our natural environment. We will work in the garden and compost, plant, weed, gather vegetables and learn to prepare healthy dishes with the items from the garden. We will learn about weather and how to predict it, how to care for animals and where our food comes from, preserving foods, learn to weave and knit along with many other outdoor and homesteading skills.  Woodworking and other outdoor projects such as building a cob oven and learning to cook over fire will be a part of this innovative program. We will also take some field trips to estuaries, beaches, nature reserves as part of our environmental education/outdoor learning program. Last but not least-nature crafts and other arts along with access to music in it’s various forms.

 

Sequoia’s Farm and Forest School Daily/Monthly Rates School Year 2021-2022:

Tuition Rates – Monthly

The 2021-2022 Month School Year Rates are based on a 20-day month average, 6.5 hours per day.  5 days week = 20 days month, 3 days week = 12 days month, 2 days week = 8 days month (this is how rates are computed every month regardless of the month’s length).  No proration is given, regardless of the days scheduled in a given month or your children’s actual attendance.

Farm School Before/After School Care

Before Care: 7:00am – 8:30am/After Care: 3:00pm – 6:00pm – We are following the South Bay Elementary School year calendar.

Assorted Fees

Drop In: $40

Annual Supply Fee: There is a $100 yearly supply fee (will be computed on your anniversary date).  If you leave Sequoia’s Farm and Forest School for any reason within your first 2 months of care, we will prorate this fee.  After this time there will be no proration or refund for this yearly fee.

Administrative Fee: There is a non-refundable $50 one-time administrative fee for each child.

Enrollment Deposit: There is a $200 deposit required upon enrollment. These are refundable only with a 30-day written cancellation notice or before care is set to begin.  Enrollment Deposits are applied to your last month of care with Sequoia’s Farm and Forest School and are refundable only with a 30-day cancellation notice.

Payment Arrangements

We can set up payment arrangements to pay child-care fees bi-monthly or monthly. Please let us know what works best for your family.

Your payment schedule will determine when fees are due.  The payment schedule is based on the monthly fee, we simply will divide it for you.

Bi-monthly: fees are due the 1st and 15th of each month. If fees are not received by the 15th of each month, a $50 late will be applied to your next invoice, prepared twice monthly.  *If payment for the current month is not received by the 15th of the month, care will be suspended as of the 15th until payment is received.

Monthly:  fees are due by the 1st of each month. Accounts remaining unpaid after the 15th day of the month will result in your child being dropped from the program. Thereafter, your child may be reinstated if payment is brought current.
