“Only one in five children in the U.S. lives within walking distance of a park. Many more lack access to a quality early childhood education that provides ample time and space to play.”

Darell Hammond

It’s hard to imagine, living in Olympia as we do, of children not living within walking distance of a park.  Is that even possible in Olympia?  And it’s even harder to imagine early childhood education which does not provide ample time and space to play.  And yet that does exist, and that is one reason we applaud the parents who send their children to Sequoia’s Treehouse.

Without sounding all “full of ourselves,” what we do, and what we provide, matters greatly in the upbringing and development of these children.  The rewards will become very apparent as the years unfold ahead of each of them and you, the parents, will be able to sit back and pat yourselves on the back for doing the absolute right thing for your children.

Being outside matters.  Rubbing shoulders with nature matters.  And having the freedom to explore and learn through exploration matters.

Nature-based education . . . matters!
